What is builder bar?

Access and switch between various sections of the platform via the builder bar

The builder bar is your main navigation for building an application. Its icons give you access to every module and tool you need — from designing pages to managing data — and it stays visible no matter which module you're in, so you can switch between areas as you build.

You can also open the Block Store and reach extra tooling straight from the bar, adding functionality to your application as you go.

Each button is described below. For a deeper look at how to work in each module, see its dedicated article section.

You can use the Play button to preview your application. As you build pages, you can preview the design to ensure the structure and organization reflect your requirements.

Account. Manage your account settings and open the My Betty Blocks dashboard, where you handle settings such as mail configuration.

Beyond the defaults, you can add more tools to the bar yourself (see Customizing your builder bar below). The tiles available to add include:

Customize your builder bar

You can tailor the builder bar to fit the way you work:

  • Pin the tiles you use most for quick access.
  • Remove tiles you rarely open to keep the bar clean.
  • Reorder tiles to match your workflow.

Add a tile

To add a tile, select the + button on the bar and choose Add to bar. This opens a menu of the pages and tools you can add.

Remove a tile

To remove a tile, right-click it on the builder bar and choose Remove from builder bar.

Your customizations are saved per application, per user. Your setup won't affect anyone else on the team, and you can keep a different configuration for each application you work in.

Nothing is ever removed permanently. Hidden tiles stay available under the Tools button.
