Release notes - March 2025.7

List of release notes from March 31, 2025

Over the last two weeks, we have been working on improvements to the platform. This blog post provides a simple list of what has been changed and updated and what bugs have been fixed. You can read more about the release notes here.

Up next

New component tree
Value: The new component tree introduces faster performance with quicker load times on large pages, clearer component differentiation through updated icons, and improved accessibility features like resizing, zooming, enhanced search, and easier navigation. Additionally, various UX improvements, such as the ability to lock/unlock components on the go, have been implemented.

Impact: These improvements streamline workflows and provide a more efficient user experience, especially when dealing with large, complex pages. The updated tree will be available for all users automatically, without the need for any manual actions.

Block Store integration in action step search
Value: When searching through action steps, you will now also see results from the Block Store. This makes it easier to discover reusable steps and install them right away, reducing development time and improving overall findability. Users who weren’t aware that certain steps were available in the store can now easily access and use them.

Impact: This update significantly speeds up development by allowing users to find and install relevant steps directly from the search interface. No extra steps are needed—just search, find, and install. In the future, we also plan to extend this functionality to widget and component searches, further improving discoverability and efficiency.

New features

Replacing the current cloud storage with Wasabi

Value: The migration of all the zones to Wasabi Technologies as our subprocessor for cloud storage is finalized. This change is part of our continuous efforts to optimize our services and ensure we leverage the most efficient and secure solutions available.

Impact: No action is required nor expected from our users.

Actions

New features

Enhanced debug logging experience

Value: (Debug) logging of an action is currently a very time-consuming effort. To check where an action fails to execute or if information about the execution is needed, the builder currently needs multiple log steps after every action step to check the action flow. By enabling logging the whole action at once and optimizing the logs page to display the information of the action execution, we enable the builders to debug their action within minutes instead of hours.

What you will unlock with this feature:

  1. Turn logging on/off
    • Feature: Toggle to enable or disable logging for each action, available in the action settings.
    • Value: Provides control over logging, allowing builders to enable it only when needed to reduce clutter and focus on critical information.
  2. Log page optimization
    • Feature: Expand/collapse logs by action step for easier navigation and links to specific actions/steps directly from the log page for quick access.
    • Value: Improves readability and accessibility, making it easier to pinpoint and resolve issues.
  3. Variables on log page
    • Feature: After this milestone, the variables and its values will be printed on the logs page for every action step.
    • Value: Improves the debug experience, making it easier to pinpoint and resolve issues.
  4. Advanced filtering options
    • Feature: Search and filter logs by timestamp and type and sort columns, with the default sort set to date and time (latest log first).
    • Value: Allow builders to quickly locate relevant logs, reducing time spent searching for specific events.

Timeframe: The public release of the improved debug logging experience will planned for this week.

Integrated Block Store search in Actions IDE

Value:

  • Enhanced productivity: By bringing Block Store functions into the Actions IDE search, builders can easily find and use pre-built functions, reducing the need for redundant development and saving time.
  • Improved user experience: Integrating Block Store content within the IDE allows builders to focus on their work without needing to switch contexts. With that, they leverage the block store to its fullest.
  • Increased Block Store utilization: By embedding Block Store functions in the Actions IDE, the builders can drive greater adoption and visibility of their Block Store content, maximizing the value of their pre-built functions.

Impact: Users are encouraged to utilize the IDE search as their primary method for finding functions. This feature augments the existing Actions IDE search functionality. Users can still access and use all previously available actions. This integration simply expands the search scope to include the Block Store's content.

Up next

Hide values of input variables in logs
Value: This functionality increases the control over sensitive data displayed in logs by enabling the builder to decide which variable values will be shown on the log page and which not. With it, improved security is implemented by preventing accidental exposure of confidential information like passwords and API keys.

Impact: This future improvement allows users to control the visibility of variable values in logs. Users can configure the visibility of each variable as desired.

Timeframe: Q2 2025
