The following article explains what templates are, what you can do with them and how you can create them.

1. What are templates?

Templates contain markup for creating multiple types of output files. They are filled with layouts that makes the output look the way it does.

2. Types of templates

There are currently 8 types of templates. A description for each of these types can be found below:

2.1 Endpoint

These templates can be directly connected to an endpoint or can function as a layout of an endpoint. They usually contain HTML with links to CSS and Scripts.

2.2 Google

These templates contain layouts used for an integration with Google docs.

2.3 Mails

These templates are used in mail actions. They contain text and layout for an email.

2.4 Pdf's

These templates are used for pdf generate actions. They contain Prince XML markup.

2.5 Soap

These templates are used for creating webservice messages like SOAP.

2.6 Javascripts

These templates are used to save scripts which can later be added to endpoint templates.

2.7 Stylesheets

These templates are used to save stylesheets which can later be added to endpoint templates.

2.8 Partials

These templates are used to save small reusable parts of HTML code. This is usually used for a block of a website that is used on multiple pages and always contains the same structure.

3. How to create one?

Go to templates in the tool menu. Click new and start creating your template.
