The Back Office is used to manage the data of an applications. It is intended for use by internal application users only. Because the Back Office is built and designed largely by us, it will speed up the process of creating an application. Every application that is built on the Betty Blocks platform has a Back Office.

Within the Back Office, it is possible to create tables for models created in the Data Model. These tables are called Grids. Grids can do many things, they can create, update or completely delete data from the application. Grids also allow data imports and exports, this makes it possible to transfer data from and to other applications. Grids make it easier to view the data of your model. By creating filters on the Grid you can see exactly the data that you want to see.

Grids are not the only thing that can be displayed in the Back Office. Pages can be used for everything that grids cannot do. These pages can use a URL to display a webpage in an Iframe within the Back Office. This can come in very handy if you want to display data in other ways then a table. When using multiple views a way to keep them in the same place might be useful, this is where the Back Office Sidebar comes in.
