Updated over 7 months ago

Over the last two weeks, we have been working on improvements to the platform. In this blog post, you can see a simple list of what has been changed, updated, and/or what bugs have been fixed. Read more about the release notes here.

New features & improvements

Pages

  • The public file selector in for example the Media component now contains an additional grid view option to display your images in a grid instead of a list, which makes finding your image way easier and faster.

My Betty Blocks

  • Manage share block permissions on company level so that only the members with the correct permissions can share blocks within the company or specific organizations. Read the dedicated product change here: Extended roles and permissions

  • Applications can now be sorted alphabetically and on creation date in the applications listing and organizations applications listing.

Education

  • You’ll no longer find deprecated information in your search results, if you need to find our classic documentation check out this link.

  • Want to search using AI? This is possible within the Betty Blocks platform, check out this article about search AI to learn more.

Fixes

Pages

  • The filter interaction function to filter for example a Data table component by a Text field input component was not working as expected when using the filter-operator ‘contains’ at runtime. When removing the last character in the input field, the interaction did not update the filter of its target component. it seemed to stick to the last character that was in the input. This is fixed now.

Data

  • Copy improvements:

    • The title in the data models quick menu is now renamed to Models.

    • The schema overview in the data models quick menu is now renamed to Canvas view.

My Betty Blocks

  • Application creation process no longer sometimes gets stuck on 1 or 99%.

  • “Already have an account” link in the register flow no longer raises an error.

Up next

Pages

  • In the next two weeks, we will release:

    • The first scope of the new Object page variables in Beta.

Data

  • Expected in the next week:

    • We will release the quick add properties functionality for schema model properties. With it, the builder can quickly add properties to a schema model.

Actions

  • Expected in the next week:

    • We will release the ability to test your (public) actions in the IDE. This way, you don’t need to use the playground anymore.

My Betty Blocks

  • Expected in the next two weeks:

    • Promote application as company template, so that templates are available to be created within all organizations of the company.

    • Application origin template is now displayed in the template overview so that impacts on this template can be communicated with users that adopted the template.

    • Permissions are added for who can manage roles and permissions for an organization.

    • Creating new application development roles for an organization including permissions for who is able to manage those.

  • Expected in the next four weeks:
