Use the:

  • Canvas view

buttons to quickly navigate between the various views of your model builder.

Use the Add or the Create model button to create models. In the Create model window, you assign a name to the model. The model is created and in the model pane now displayed, you can define the models:

Use the Search model field to navigate directly to a specific model. Enter the name of the model to filter to a specific or set of names. You can select the model with which you want to work.

Note: Additional search capabilities are available based on the view in which you are working. For example, a Search field in the properties setup menu for locating a specific property in a model.

When you work in the canvas view, you can use the mouse point to move around the canvas.

When you press right-click, the mouse pointer hand changes to the grab hand icon and you can then move the canvas as required to bring specific models into focus.

You can use the:

Quick add properties to add a series of properties for adding definition to an individual model. You can edit the individual properties at any stage to apply specific specific required settings.

You can continually apply changes to the Data model design as you are building your application.

Note: Once an application is in production (released for use), updates can only be applied in the lowest Sandbox of the staging environment. For example, where your development approach is based on a Development, Testing, Acceptance and Production (DTAP) street, changes can be applied to the Development sandbox.
